LaVolta was founded in 2001 to continue our ongoing support of the digital media industry.  Sally Mills, Bob Driscoll, Steve Granger and Harris Madden are the senior partners of LaVolta.

Sally Mills
Sally is co-founder of LaVolta and was the co-founder of Mills Harding with Debra Harding in the mid 90s, the first recruitment consultancy in Australia to specialise in the Internet and new media industries.  She has worked in technology and executive search for 25 years, working with GEC Software, London before joining a European architectural and design executive recruitment firm.  When Sally moved to Australia, she worked with Crowe Associates to help build their Technology practice specialising in IT & Telecommunications recruitment.  She also set up a successful on-demand Sales business in 1990 and was a founding member of IT&T Best Practice, establishing fair working ethics in the industry.  Sally sits on the AIMIA NSW board and works on the Educational sub committee, helping to bring industry, education and government closer together.


Steven Granger
Steven is Managing Partner of the Creative and Marketing practice group and is a seasoned HR practitioner who was one of the first people in Australia to transition into digital recruitment in 1999. As such, he has a deep and intimate knowledge of the digital space and has well established networks across business, creative and marketing communities in both the Sydney and Melbourne markets.  With 20 years business experience, Steve has held leadership and operational roles in the telco, media and services sector. He was previously General Manager of MillsHarding, Melbourne.

Having been with LaVolta from the early days, Steve continues to be an integral part of our business; supporting a team of consultants across a variety of client engagements and working with his own portfolio of senior appointments. He is also an accredited trainer and mentor, career coach and counselor and an active member of AIMIA and the digital community.


Harris Madden
Harris is Managing Partner of LaVolta Principals and has over twenty five years business experience and has held operational and executive roles in media, technology and services sectors. He was co-founder of CDT Creative Design & Technologies, a business which developed the original concept plans for Sydney’s Darling Harbour development and later went on to become an award-winning international creative design house for theme parks, interactive exhibitions and entertainment projects. In the early days of digital, Harris was MD of ZIVO Internet Solutions, which he helped establish as the then largest digital media strategy and solutions provider in Australia.

More recently Harris has been involved in funding technology ventures through private and public capital raisings and he managed the commercialization practice of a large Australian university. He has as also served as a non-executive director of a number of successful start-ups and SME’s. While media, content and technology businesses continue to be Harris’s primary focus, he is also member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a non-executive director of Balance Healthcare [recently awarded over $11 million by the Australian government to develop the GP SuperClinics for Sydney’s Blue Mountains region and for Cairns in Far North Queensland].
