Strategy and Business Planning Manager
An opportunity now exists for a highly commercial and strategic Strategy and Business Planning Manager to manage the strategic and business planning for the Transactions Division by identifying, scoping and evaluating new opportunities to expand into or invest in and analysing existing business capabilities and recommending improvements.
To be successful in this role you will possess a superior commercial acumen with the ability to quickly add value to an opportunity with short time frames. It would be favourable to have 2-3 years experience working in a comparable position, in the online environment and have led small project teams.
Some of the key responsibilities:
- Lead the Transactions Leadership team in setting the strategic agenda
- Indentify and analyse medium to long-term strategic opportunities and challenges across all platforms
- Manage the Business Plan process (including Annual Budgets) and lead the leadership team in the 3 year business planning process
- Responsibility for the overall quality and integrity of internal analysis
- Demonstrated ability to quickly and efficiently build and manage a range of financial models to support rapid decision making on business strategy, product pricing, forecasting, opportunities to improve operational efficiency
- Successfully seek out and identify targets for acquisitions and commercial partnership (focused on delivery of strategic vision and aggressive growth
- Mange the interface with key departments throughout the acquisition process including M&A in particular
Some of the key skills needed:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Businesses / Commence / Accounting.
- Sound experience in Finance and accounting within a corporate environment
- Practical experience in commercial management
- Experience with the Balanced Scorecard or similar performance management / planning tool
- Practical experience in strategic planning, financial planning, reporting and control
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis / reporting roles with strong evaluation and analytical capabilities and financial modelling skills.
- Ability to manage a small team under deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Be self-motivated and results oriented
- Experience in online media, classifieds or transactions environment.
- Experience in business process engineering, process and workflow analysis and mapping.
- Understanding of the various capabilities of emerging technologies.
- MBA would be highly regarded
- Consulting background would be highly regarded
