Gravity is a leading developer of technologies that power audience engagement across mobile, internet and broadcast media and we’ve been in R&D for a good number of years developing a delivery platform and a functionally rich suite of hosted applications and services that enable the deployment of convergent digital content.
Our vision is to be a leading global provider in our field and whilst we pride ourselves in having a strong team of multidisciplinary specialists, we also recognised that we needed a key business development leader, someone who could implement the sales processes, the go to market strategies, and build and lead a sales team. This is a key role and a senior appointment for our business that sits on the executive team, so a vital hire for us.
With this is in mind, we started looking for a Vice President of Sales & Marketing and, on the personal recommendation of Louise van Rooyen, we contacted LaVolta to help us with our search. It was a tough brief as we needed someone with a thorough understanding of the relevant technologies plus experience and good contacts in the digital media and telecommunications industries as our clients vary across Brands & Agencies, Digital Media Companies, Carriers and Content Providers.
LaVolta came to see us to take a detailed brief and to get a good feel of our company culture. They were able to search across their extensive network to provide a shortlist of candidates with the unique skill set we needed. We were very impressed by all the candidates we saw from LaVolta and were delighted when we were able to offer Phil Silva the role.
